The
Lubed Grunion by John Scalzo John's affectionate
memorial to O.C.'s music scene
done in perfect Fullertone style. John and Brett
were
roommates in Fullerton, California when John was
starting The Fullertone Magazine. Brett jumped
onboard
to write a frivolous, trashy, and sometimes
defamatory
gossip column called "Malibu Burt's Beach
Blanket Lingo."
There's lots of cool stuff on John's website. Be
prepared
to bookmark it so you can keep coming back to get
it all in.

Joe
West Joe West and The Sinners; an
Austin, Texas band
in which Brett did his best to comport himself as
one

personas,
Nick Fontaine. Nick played a variety of bass
instruments for The Sinners.
Joe West and The
Sinners played in and around
Austin, Texas and toured the Midwest in 2000.
Shortly thereafter, Joe moved to Santa Fe
where he remains, to this day, the local
trailer-park-troubadour.
Joe still owes
Nick money.

Fredric
Taccone "The first guy I ever saw
that had a real
honest-to-God mullet - it freaked me out. Fred
was
always a great bass player - played a cool
fifties
Rickenbacker. I loved writing shit about Fred in
The Fullertone - he loved it. Any press was good
press, as far as Fred was concerned!" -
Malibu Burt
Fredric's
amplifiers have been around the world;
Red Square, The 2006 Grammy's, you name it!
